RESUME
Maureen Garvin is the dean of the School of Foundation Studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has served as Dean of Fine Arts 2003 -07, as chair of the Foundation Studies department from 1991-2003 and foundation studies faculty 1988-91. Her previous teaching experience includes Penn State, Moore College of Art, Philadelphia University (formerly Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science), and Temple University.
Professor Garvin’s has been exhibited in Atlanta, Chicago, New York City and Philadelphia, as well as Beijing, and London. Her studio work includes handmade paper pieces, large oil pastel works on paper, and wall relief pieces made with paper pulp.
